Previously, at Stanford University under Prof. Michael Lin, she developed the brightest red fluorescent protein to date, which has been used in experiments by researchers across the globe. At Harvard, Emily worked on artificial intelligence research in natural language processing for answering biomedical questions with Prof. Sasha Rush and built more effective flocking agents with Prof. Barbara Grosz. In recent years, she organized the Futuristic Tech panel and Pitch Competition at Harvard China Forum. She enjoys photography, flying drones, and helping organize community events.
