Harbir is a trusted community leader in professional and social networks. Today she heads the Community Benefit & Innovation Division at Silicon Sage and previously founded the Digital Transformation Practice at Selectiva Systems, and founded of ooNee Studios–a Digital Transformation, Media & Marketing Services company. Her career started working in Lockheed Martin as a Systems Engineer, then moved into the software and consulting industry, and also has been a serial entrepreneur. Her education includes Masters in Engineering and Bachelors of Electrical Engineering. Sikhi inspires her to strive for excellence, take responsibility for the world around her, and recognize all as equal. Alongside, she has been a community organizer for most of her life, and considers herself a civic entrepreneur at heart. Her motto is “Be a tide that raises all boats”, and hence supports initiatives that promote continuous learning, innovation, and economic and social empowerment.
Harbir serves on a variety of boards and organizations such as Board Member of SC Chamber of Commerce, Economic Development Committee, The Women’s Forum, Board Member of SC Library Foundation, San Jose Gurdwara Relations Committee, Santa Clara Cultural Commission, Advisor to Joy of SEWA, TiE Con Leadership Team, Advisory Board of the Women’s March Bay Area – and more.
Most recently she launched IK Onkar Bridges, a tourism and social impact company. She has received multiple awards for her leadership, “Leadership In Business”, “The Community Hero Award”, “Women’s Empowerment: Inspiring Achievement Award”, State of California Assembly Recognition for “Bettering Community”, and more.
