Mattie’s professional life is devoted to creative film and TV productions, and her community spirit supporting the Santa Clara Valley arts scene has had an impact on the County. In the early 90’s Mattie worked in Los Angeles for over 12 years working in television and film doing wardrobe. In 2006, Mattie and her Partner Nils Myers launched 152 WEST Productions. Their portfolio includes feature films, corporate videos, documentaries, and entertainment videos.
Last year she co–directed a documentary about Lewy Body Dementia and she recently just signed on to produce a documentary about Woodstock for the 50 year Anniversary called “Woodstock Nation.” Previously, she served for over 10 years as Chair of the Gilroy Arts and Culture Commission, and on the board of the Gilroy Arts Alliance. She now serves on the board of the Gilroy Downtown Business Association, is the Vice President of Community Media Access Partnership and is on her third year as the Director of the Poppy Jasper International Film Festival PJIFF.
